Electroconductive ceramics based on cerium and indium oxides and its behavior in various gaseous media

Auteurs : RBID : ISTEX:11148_1994_Article_BF02226845.pdf

Abstract

The paper contains data on the ceramic and electrophysical properties of ceramics based on cerium dioxide and indium oxide, depending on the ratio of the components. The effect of the gaseous medium (products of the combustion of propane at α=0.7, 0.9, and 1.2) on the electric conductivity has been investigated. As has been found, no interaction of the components takes place in the system. The electron (n-type) conduction in the medium of the combustion products is substantially higher than that in air, which is due to a reduction of indium oxide by the combustion products.
